![]() ![]() So lets say you use the crosshair zeroed at 200 yards and dial the scope it will only get you to around 500 yards with most cartridges. When I say 3.2 mils I am talking about the dial. My reticle alone is 5 mils.ĥ mils gets a 7 Mashburn with 160 Accubonds to 875 yards without moving the turret yet. I’ve heard that and wondered if other people are talking about the same reticle as mine. I have only used mine as a set and forget scope so I cannot attest to the accuracy of the adjustments other than when I zero the scope it moves exactly the graduations dialed, which makes for a pleasant experience compared to say a Leupold. I had to use Burris Signature rings with the offset inserts to zero the scope and still have enough vertical left to go 500 yards with a 7mm Rem Mag. Of course with the mil dot reticle you can go much farther using both the mil dots and come-ups for each mil graduation. ![]() ![]() Now 500 to 600 yards is all that most anyone would normally need for hunting, therefore the name "Precision Hunter". As you may know the Precision Hunter is the one that only has around 3.2 mils (around 11.5 MOA) of vertical adjustment which will only get you to 500 to 600 yards even with a flat shooting rifle and 200 yard zero. ![]()
